I greet you all in the name of Almighty Father, Creator and Sustainer of all things good in the Universe. As Basileus of Sigma Alpha Chapter, one of the anchors and leaders of the Mighty Seventh District, I am humbled and honored to lead our chapter in serving Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. On behalf of the Brotherhood, I’d like to thank you for visiting our website.
Founded in Miami, Florida in 1939, our chapter of Omega Men has concentrated its talents on improving the quality of life in all cultures and communities within South Florida. Omega is a dynamic organization shaped by its unique structure of college-educated African-American college committed to the betterment of the communities in which we live, work, worship and learn. We are focused on meeting our Fraternity’s internationally mandated programs, which are based on our four cardinal principles: Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift. In the words of our 39th and current Grand Basileus, Dr. Andrew Ray, “Omega Men must continue to mentor our youth, provide food, clothing and support to the needy, register our people to vote, and fulfill our mandated programs while remaining guardians of the social and political accomplishments won by those who have gone before us.” As Omega nears completion of 100 years of success later this year, I thank the Brothers of Sigma Alpha for more than 70 years of tireless effort in support of the chapter’s goals and objectives, based on the aspirations of our beloved Founders and their steadfast dedication to the advancement of America, especially African-American society. Let us all look back and reflect on the contributions of our forefathers, and let their works inspire us to excel further as we are propelled into the second century of Omega’s prosperous existence.
